The bike echoes the styling of the CCM-Armstrong machines of the early 1980s, which saw action in the famous TT races on the Isle of Man. Although those machines were two-stroke powered, this bike features a low-maintenance DRZ400 Suzuki unit, which sho
uld do over 50mpg, as well hitting 85mph flat out.
The chassis is based on the current FT35 Flat-Tracker CCM model, and the bike will be available in either fully faired, or unfaired formats. Many details like the alloy fuel tank are hand-finished, a unique aspect to the design of the bike in age of mass produced machines.
Blackburn based CCM reckon the CR40 will retail for around £5800, when it appears on the roads in 2007.
