Brother's big day in town

STAR-STRUCK Mancunians should make a beeline for the Big Brother auditions on February 19.

Hot on the heels of Bez's success in Celebrity Big Brother, programme makers, Endemol, are visiting the city on Saturday, February 19 in the hope that we'll produce another housemate for the sixth series.

Insiders tell me that first impressions really will count, as not everyone who queues up outside New Century House, on Corporation Street, will be given an interview.

Instead, from 9am, the production team will be scouring the masses to see who stands out ... and only those who catch their eye will be given a chance to prove themselves, during a one-minute hard-sell.

The more outrageous you are, the better your chance is - and, as the last series involved sexual dalliances between housemates and was won by a glamourpuss of a transsexual, it seems we'll be in for an interesting time when the show hits our screens this summer.
