Big Brother 6: The bitching begins

1/ 6/2005

KEMAL, the Turkish student from Liverpool, has emerged as the early favourite to win the sixth series of Big Brother.

As the first nomination day looms, the claws came out and the housemates began sniping at one another yesterday.

Makosi set the tone in the house by bitching about Tory 40-year-old Derek. The 24-year-old said she intended to use and control some of the housemates to avoid eviction.

The Zimbabwe-born nurse was chosen by Big Brother as the unlucky 13th housemate, meaning automatic nomination.

She can escape eviction by fulfilling the task set for her - making her housemates nominate her because they hate her so much.

Earlier she said of Derek, who she has been using as part of her plan: "I keep looking at him and thinking, what a prat. I know that's mean to say, but he feels the need to steal my limelight. I'm not saying I'm the only clever person around here, but I'd like him to be a bit authentic, which he's not."

Makosi claims to have few regrets about her behaviour, saying: "If it wasn't for me, this would have been a quiet week with everyone licking and sucking each other's bums."

Craig

Craig, the hairdresser from Norfolk, has been griping about the housemates with 19-year-old Lesley and student Vanessa.

"They're all lapdogs that want to impress each other, but I'm no lapdog because I serve nobody," he said.

White witch Mary has been bitching about marketing student Sam, saying: "The reason I don't like Sam is she never wears any clothes and spends all her time sitting with the blokes."

Derek has been complaining in the Diary Room that the women in the house do not do any housework, saying "What sort of man would want anything to do with them? I certainly wouldn't want them to have my children. It seems to be cool to be completely and utterly, filthy dirty."

The nominations are being kept under wraps and viewers will only learn who is up for the boot on tonight's show.
