Big Brother 6: Science and Orlaith row over towels

20/ 7/2005

MODEL Orlaith forgave Big Brother eviction rival Science after a furious slanging match over a set of towels.

The pair clashed shortly before the announcement that they had been nominated by their housemates for the boot on Friday.

"Laundrygate" started when the Yorkshire rapper had the temerity to remove Orlaith's drying towels, much to her annoyance.

Science moaned: "I never thought it would be a big issue. I'm in the wrong as usual innit?"

He added that by complaining, Orlaith had just "made herself look like an arsehole".

"OK, just be crude," snapped the former Miss Northern Ireland Model of the Year runner-up.

Orlaith fled into the house and shrieked: "Shut up and leave me alone!"

She later calmed down as she reflected in the Diary Room on the spat.

"There's so much happening with both of us with the eviction so we were bound to argue, but I'll just ignore him in future," she said.

"He picks on people and winds them up to breaking point.

"There's nowhere to hide in here so you can't get away from his voice.

"He's a good guy. His actions may be hurtful but he deserves to stay until the end.

Orlaith added: "If I stay I would be happy but I don't think I could mentally stay until the end."

On hearing the news of the nomination, she burst into tears and said: "Thank you all so much, I'm so happy. Please let me go."

The breast-baring model is 1/3 odds-on favourite to go.

"Even flashing the flesh lots in the next few days is unlikely to save her," said Ladbrokes spokesman Warren Lush.

"Science saw off Maxwell and is amongst the favourites to win so it looks like an uphill battle for the Belfast beauty."

Offensive or Inappropriate?

I think your reporting of this argument is very biased towards Orlaith.

Science politely apologised for moving the towels and added would put them out in the sun to dry.

Only her constant screaming and abuse turned it into an argument and shreiking like a banishee and was very agressive, first time she has spoken without her hand on her chest

Soon found comfort with Derek!!! what a surprise, there is that many knifes in peoples backs its a wonder they can stand up
