Robbie takes comfort from Beckham's fear

Robbie Williams has revealed that a terrified-looking David Beckham managed to melt away his nerves before performing at this summer's Live 8 - his first major gig in the UK since 2003.

The former Take That star may come across as the ultimate showman but last minute nerves got the better of him until he saw Becks.

Scared

He told Jonathan Ross: "I was so scared, I spent the whole day in the cabin.

"I got on stage and David looked more scared than me and I got a perverse joy out of it. He's a big hero of mine."
