We are looking back in time to 1982. The Metrolink tram system and the transformation of Central Station into GMEX lie several years in the future. Sunley tower is on the left, Scottish Widows Fund building, later Portland tower in the centre and the white tower of St James Buildings Oxford St on the right. Central Station was closed in 1969 and was used as a car park until conversion into GMEX.
