Once used by trams and buses of Salford City Transport, Regent Road depot currently lies empty and unused. A tram makes its way along Regent Road, the first suburban road in the Manchester conurbation to be converted for use by trams after a gap of around half a century. The line to Eccles was opened in 2000.
