Looking up the ramp from the east side of Brook Street, the MMU Students Union Building is only a few feet from the southern edge of the Mancunian Way. Due to a shortage of space, the slip road from the west side of Brook Street has no acceleration lane. After stopping and waiting for a gap, drivers must immediately cross into the middle lane to avoid going down the next slip road at Cambridge St. This is a major design flaw and ought to disqualify the Mancunian Way from having motorway designation. Above the road, new signage has been added. The old sign indicating 'Docks' sadly disappeared before I could photograph it.
