Sacred Trinity Church stands on Chapel Street just across the River Irwell from Manchester city centre. It is of similar design to St Ann's Church, just five minutes away, and was painted by L S Lowry. Under the 1945 Manchester plan it was to have disappeared under vast new railway station ironically named Trinity.
