Manchester's newest park is sited on one of the city's oldest and most historic pieces of ground. Angel Meadow Park is the result of a campaign led by local resident MIchael Wingfield to transform the former St Michael's Flags, also known as the Plague Burial Ground, into an attractive green space with lawns, benches, lighting and footpaths.
