At Boddingtons Brewery production of cask ale was shut down in late 2004 after over two centuries producing the 'Cream of Manchester'.  Boddingtons is associated with Manchester, much as Guinness is synonymous with Dublin.  Brand identity of beer is often closely linked with the place where it's brewed. Will the Boddingtons brand go into decline now it is no longer produced in Manchester?
