On Deansgate, the Royal Bank of Scotland building has now become a familiar sight. It replaced the spectacular but forgotten Northcliffe House, the former Daily Mail buidling which had proved difficult to repurpose. The rectangular glass constructtion with its supporting wishbone-shaped trusses is similar to the nearby Number One Deansgate.
