| A new logo and colour scheme has replaced the former Salford
signs with blue sky and clouds (click to view
the old one). The new signs are similar to standard UK road
signs but with a pink background. The design has succeeded in
gaining attention, though language purists may dislike the use of the
capitals 'IN Salford', and colour traditionalists might consider pink an
unsuitable municipal colour for Salford. At least here it goes well with
the purple of the old Exchange Station approach bridge in the
background. |
