Two views of the Stockport skyline from the park in Heaton Norris overlooking the town centre. In the left hand photo centre right, the Town Hall, and just to its right, the steeple of St George's Church, Wellington Rd South.

In the right hand photo, Our Lady's RC Church, Shaw Heath, and the pointed tower of the nearby Armoury, used by the TA (Territorial Army). In the lower part of the picture, we can see the main railway line, crossing from north to south on the 1840 railway viaduct and in the distance, the hills above Lyme Park and Bollington.
