In this artists' impression we see Sunlight House on Quay-street, dwarfed by the new skyscraper, which will have a clock face several feet larger than the one on the Town Hall.

The small building on the right stands at the corner of Deansgate. Quay-street is the continuation of Peter-street, on which the blitzed Free Trade Hall stands, currently awaiting renovation.

Sunlight House was designed and built by Mr Joseph Sunlight and opened in 1932.
