
Ms Jagger said: “We have created a central pod which will open up like a jewellery box to reveal your kitchen and your bathroom. It will be a lacquered space, quite decorative, that you can have either open or closed.
“In a smaller space having everything exposed can look too messy, and this pod idea solves that. It will be a dramatic piece of furniture, a great starting point for the rest of the apartment and we are being quite punchy about colours. It is not going to be bland.”
They are going to be equally ambitious with other parts of the buildings talking of creating club rooms for residents and meeting areas to bring people together and help forge a community.
So why has Mr Linfoot, who seems to have re-built Leeds city centre singlehanded, come to the right side of the Pennines? He said: “I’ve been looking for a site in Manchester for some time and met with John Whittaker from Peel who told me about the media city and I was really excited and think it is an unbelievable opportunity.”
