7th heaven is NV of all

MOST couples buy a country cottage to retreat to at the weekends but Alan and Glynis Wood are reversing the process to buy a seventh-floor apartment at NV Buildings.

Alan said: "We live in a small village just outside Macclesfield and the surroundings are beautiful but there is nothing to do and transport is a nightmare.

"We love going to the theatre and eating out but the last train back is 10.30pm so we decided to do the two homes thing the other way round - live in the country during the week and the city at weekends."

Alan runs his own welding equipment business and they had already invested in other property, five commercial units and four properties abroad, before deciding to pay £169,000 plus £20,000 for a parking space at NV.

Nightlife

Alan said: "I was looking in the M.E.N. when I saw the three buildings of NV and thought they looked terrific. We went to have a look and we were both really impressed by the setting and the finish and loved the view, so we bought one.

"We should complete next month and our plan is to drive down most Friday nights, park up the car then get the tram and enjoy the city. We have never been to The Lowry theatre yet but that will be a walk away, and there's lots of shopping and bars at the Quays."
