Easier mortgages for buyers in GreeceDEMAND for properties on the Greek Islands is rising strongly as British buyers chase tranquil retirement pads off the beaten track, and they will find the buying process is getting easier, says specialist overseas property mortgage broker Conti Financial Services (CFS). CFS fixes loans to a maximum 80 per cent of value (the previous limit was 75 per cent), while variable and fixed rate loans in euros start at 3.20 per cent for year one. Borrowers can be up to 70 years old, and loans can last for 25 years. Says CFS spokesman Tom Foster: "Greek lenders have begun to realise the huge potential of the international property market."
