£30k pledge to help homeless

MANCHESTER property buying company A Quick Sale has pledged to raise £30,000 to help the homeless in a link-up with the charity Crisis.

Staff will be taking part in various fundraising events and MD Richard Watters said: “We wanted to link with Crisis because the charity provided us with an effective way of helping people who, for whatever reason, may not actually own a home but also have no means of buying one either.

“We feel that it is crucial to help people gain the right skills to get them back into work and in a position where they can live in their own home.

“The partnership gives staff and associates a great opportunity to organise some fantastic fundraising activities on a regional level – something I know they are all looking forward to.”

Tom Sessions from Crisis said: “The funds that A Quick Sale plan to raise will have a tremendous impact on the resources we will be able to offer homeless people.

“For example, just £75 will provide four homeless people with a day’s life-skills training to help them settle into permanent accommodation.

“And £150 can provide vocational training for two homeless people to help them get back into work.”
