FLIGHTS from Manchester Airport to Heathrow resumed today after the strike caused chaos for thousands of north west passengers.
A flight from Heathrow carrying around 140 passengers arrived Manchester late last night, the first in-bound flight since the strike began.
Flights from Manchester to the London airport began running this morning.
A BA spokesman said: "We are working very hard to get a schedule back up and running, however there are 100 aircraft and 1,000 crew displaced around the world.
"We still advise all passengers to phone ahead to check the status of their flight."
Shuttle services between the airports were cancelled during the strike with many holidaymakers forced to find alternative transport to make connecting overseas flights.

Around 700 people were queuing yesterday at Terminal 3 trying to get back to London with no indication of when flights would resume.

Toby Cook, 22, from Bath, who is travelling to Sharm El Sheikh for a seven-day holiday, said: "It was just so frustrating."
