Peter joins Joynes
WARRINGTON-based Joynes Pike & Associates have signed up Peter Newbold as group finance director.
Peter, who qualified as a chartered accountant in 1983, was previously part of an MBO team that bought a textile company based in Sri Lanka. He is the former group finance director of Sherwood Group.

ANS boost
AIM-listed tech company Associated Network Solutions has announced the appointment of Derek McDermott, the founder and owner of consultancy group Cornerstone IT Partnership.
Derek, 56, is also commercial director of Omniperception, a company specialising in facial biometrics and image pattern recognition.

NCC exec
IT group NCC has appointed Simone Clemison as business development executive in the company's consultancy service. Simone comes from Computer Associates, where she worked as corporate account manager.

Haden hello
LINDON Roberts has joined Hyde-based Haden Freeman as business development manager. He brings many years of experience to the engineering consultancy firm, having worked with AEA Technology, Kvaerner Technology and, most recently, MITIE Cleanrooms.

New chief
CARL Michel has taken over the reins as chief executive of Cheshire-based Holidaybreak following the departure of Richard Atkinson after 30 years.
