Pilks talks continue

TOP executives from Nippon Sheet Glass are in London to hold talks with Pilkington as the Japanese company considers whether to raise its 150p per share takeover approach for its UK rival, said sources today.

The meetings, expected to go on for several days, are aimed at helping the Japanese executives better understand their potential bid target as they seek to justify increasing the value of the possible bid, the sources said.

Pilkington and NSG in London declined to comment.
