SPEED KILLS... catchy strapline isnt it? But.... what speed kills?

Speeding does not kill at all, bad driving (including driving over your own limits & the limits of your car) causes accidents that kill, you can have an accident at 20mph & be killed or you can have an accident at 100mph & be killed. Simply put 'there is a time & a place'.

If speed kills, what speed kills? Anyone who has been on an airliner has been traveling at about 450 - 500mph and lived hasnt been killed by speed, Andy Green set a land speed record at over 700mph & lived, so we must assume that the speed that kills is higher than that..... Speed Kills is just a catchy slogan for the narrown minded who need newspapers & media to think for them.

Until they can come up with a camera that will recognise bad driving little will change in accident rates.

Offensive or Inappropriate?

Safespeed are lefties compared to my beliefs. I am a true 100percent libertarian. One thing that you fail to understand is that there are no consequences to speeding. That is why it should not be a crime. I am all for locking people up if they cause deliberate damage to somebody else's life, liberty or property but I am totally against any law that is in existence for any other purpose. As I have said several times: There is no such thing as a completely law-abiding citizen and never can be. One reason for this is because in several areas the law is contradictory. At least SafeSpeed don't pray on the families of road accident victims, pushing their propaganda at a time when they are at their weakest.
