41. Tahir Mohsan and family: £80m (£80m)

31/ 5/2005

TIME Computers was set up by Tahir Mohsan and his half-brother, Dr Tariq Mohammed, in 1987 with an investment of just '1,000. Tahir, the group's 33-year- old chairman, now gives addresses in both Dubai and Blackburn, not far from the company's HQ at Simonstone, Burnley.

Following its takeover of rival Tiny in 2002, the '207m-turnover Time Computers group is one of Britain's leading computer manufacturers and it also has a national chain of retail stores that trade under the Computer World brand. Latest accounts show a '2.6m profit.

Another Mohsan business is the Internexus Group internet service provider. Mr Mohsan and his family are still worth an estimated '80m.
