Fancy a slice of chocolate pizza?

8/ 2/2006

A SWEET pizza dripping with chocolate and mascarpone is being marketed as an ideal Valentine's treat.

It combines a chocolate base with sticky black cherry and chocolate sauce topping.

The dessert, which oven cooks in nine minutes, is finished off with chocolate flakes and dollops of mascarpone.

Sharing one of the 203g pizzas between two would give each person 291kcals and 13.1g of fat.

The Sainsbury's dessert was created by chef Martin Walker following a romantic weekend in Naples.

Felicity Roberts, product developer for the supermarket chain, said: "We're really excited about this brand new chocolatey feast. We think it'll be very popular this Valentine's as its perfect for sharing with the one you love."

* The Valentine's Pizza went on sale in stores today priced at '2.99.
