ALTHOUGH a supporter of public transport, I remain concerned at attempts by the Labour government to blackmail Manchester into accepting the congestion charge.
I SYMPATHISE with Robert Ridley (MEN, November 24) when he says under TIF ‘there will be no trams sweeping past my door to whisk me [from Stockport] straight into the heart of Manchester’.
