Blame the system

I AGREED with Andrew Grimes’s workhouse article (MEN, December 19) so I felt I had to reply to the letter writer who felt that his piece condemning the government’s welfare plans (‘Annoyed taxpayer’, Postbag, December 29), was nonsense.

I WOULD gladly conform to Vincent Walsh’s points providing he ensures that every cyclist obeys the rules of the road and uses lights when it is dark.

Have some pity

I CAN’T believe that people were complaining about trains being delayed/cancelled because of the tragic accident of a light plane crashing, killing three people and leaving two children orphaned.
