THE first-ever national conference to focus specifically on community radio will take place in Manchester next month. The announcement follows the news that three of the first 10 community radio licences to be awarded by industry regulator Ofcom are within Greater Manchester, covering Ardwick, Longsight, and Levenshulme; Wythenshawe and south Manchester; and Rochdale.
