Estate agents quit Rightmove

PROPERTY website Rightmove today reported that up to 300 estate agents were quitting its service each month in the property downturn.

The online business, which last month cut 20 per cent of its workforce, said its agency membership was now 1,900 lower than the 12,600 peak of a year ago.

Three out of every four that left had gone bust or were removed for failing to keep up with membership fees.

   Every time an estate agents goes bust it makes you smile? What a nasty outlook you have! For every dodgy estate agent there are several others who are honest and trustworthy - and these people are losing their jobs and incomes. You should hope you don't ever find yourself in that position.
