Couple buy care home for £1.4m

A CARE home in Bolton has changed hands in a £1.4m deal.

Peter McGailey, pictured, and his wife Claire, have bought the Lyngate Care Home, on Wigan Road, which can accommodate up to 41 residents.

The couple, who are based in Thornton-Cleveleys, plan to splash out on refurbishments to the Victorian property.

Funding for the deal was provided by a team at the Royal Bank of Scotland, led by Jo Phipson and Emma Kenny.

Mr and Mrs McGailey previously ran a care home in Blackpool.

Jo said: "Peter and Claire have an excellent record of improving care home operations and delivering good results."
