The Advertiser, serving the communities of North and East Manchester, was founded in March 2002. It was formerly the Moston, Middleton and Blackley Express, which concentrated on North Manchester, but expanded its coverage to include East Manchester - at the heart of regeneration.
The Advertiser aims to keep the people of North and East Manchester informed about the regeneration that is going on around them and how it will effect them.
There are many social issues to be tackled and The Advertiser is there to be part of the re-birth of a region which is destined to become a new town within the city of Manchester.
Areas covered in East Manchester include: Gorton, Longsight, Levenshulme, Clayton, Openshaw, Newton Heath, Miles Platting, Beswick, Bradford, Ancoats, Ardwick.
Areas covered in North Manchester include: Moston, Harpurhey, Collyhurst, Blackley, Crumpsall, Cheetham Hill.
The Advertiser is a Free weekly newspaper, published each Friday, and is delivered to 73,700* homes.
