Rochdale ObserverThe Rochdale Observer has, since its foundation in 1856, been "the voice of Rochdale."

It reports the news and views of the people in an area which covers Rochdale, Milnrow, Newhey, Littleborough, Wardle, Norden, Bamford, Castleton, Whitworth and Royton and Crompton.

Twice weekly, it has a Wednesday circulation of 18,270* & readership of 48,803*. Saturdays has a circulation of 26,524* & readership of 72,702*.

It is the premier news medium, both for editorial and advertising.

The Rochdale Observer prides itself on being a community based newspaper with its emphasis on local news. It has successfully campaigned on behalf of the community it serves on a number of issues.

One Observer-led readers' campaign led to the building of the new Rochdale Infirmary, and the newspaper was given the accolade Campaigning Weekly Newspaper of the Year.

The paper is committed to working with the community for a prosperous future for Rochdale.

Features of the paper include lively readers' letters pages, local district news sections, comprehensive weekly school news, reader competitions, business news, a page for young readers and full coverage of all local sports. The Wednesday "Life" entertainment section provides a comprehensive "What's On" guide, plus reviews and previews of local music, drama etc.

The Homesearch property pages provide an easy-to-read weekly guide to homes for sale, and the display advertisements and classified advertising sections provide a unique and unrivalled service for both selling and buying products and services.
