Sienna and Ewan take top honours

AWARD: Sienna Miller
Sienna Miller and Ewan McGregor have taken top acting honours at the lastminute.com theatre awards.

Miller was named best actress for her role as Celia in Shakespeare's As You Like It.

She appeared in the play each night despite her break-up with boyfriend Jude Law.

McGregor won best actor for his lead role in Guys and Dolls.

The awards were voted for by more than 16,000 theatregoers.

Miller said she was "thrilled" with her win.

"I had such a great time working with such a wonderful cast and really miss being on stage," she said. "I definitely want to return next year."

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, starring Hollywood actor Christian Slater, was voted best play.

West End favourite The Lion King was best musical, and Kevin Spacey's Old Vic was named the best theatre.

The Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious song and dance number from Mary Poppins was named best moment.

Mark Bower, head of theatre for lastminute.com, said: "Once again the big musicals like The Lion King and Mary Poppins have proved their continued popularity and big names like Sienna and Ewan are drawing new audiences into London's West End."
