COLEEN MCLOUGHLIN may have wowed the crowds at the National Television Awards this week but she later confessed her dress sense "stank"... quite literally.

Wayne Rooney's girlfriend dazzled on the red carpet in a black vintage dress - but it wasn't without its problems.

"I love this dress, I found it in a vintage shop, but I'm sure it hasn't been washed since the 50s," she told the Mirror.

"It has this old musky smell which just won't go away. I had to spray it with tons of perfume, and I'm hoping no-one notices. Wayne would think it's mad wearing an old, smelly dress - but I love it."
