Tea and comedy from supermodel Kate

NEW AD: Kate Moss
NEW AD: Kate Moss
Kate Moss unveils a clean-cut image in one of the supermodel's first major assignments since her career was threatened by allegations of cocaine use.

Moss is filmed making tea and relaxing at home in a TV ad for Virgin Mobile.

The 31-year-old, who lost several lucrative contracts after being photographed allegedly taking drugs, pokes fun at herself in a "rare" speaking role.

She dons a beige, baggy, v-neck jumper, the minimum of make-up and grey micro shorts for the ad, filmed last weekend in the US.

Moss is filmed to look as though she is at home when she receives a call from a man named "Kyle" saying he has found a perfect contract for her.

Merits

He discusses the merits of the contract and signs on her behalf.

By the end of the ad, viewers learn that Kyle is in a Virgin Mobile store, and that the contract the model has been looking for is a new monthly contract from Virgin Mobile.

Moss filmed the ad after spending a month in an Arizona rehab clinic following the drugs controversy.

Sir Richard Branson said he was "thrilled" the "best model in the world" had agreed to work with the Virgin Group.

"I have known Kate Moss for 18 years, and am a huge fan of hers both personally and professionally.

"She looks absolutely stunning in the new Virgin Mobile ad and she will impress a lot of people with her natural beauty, acting skills, great comic timing and her ability to poke fun at herself," he said.

The ad premieres on the ITV Network on Christmas Eve during Ant and Dec's Christmas Takeaway, and online from noon today on katemosscontract.com.

It was directed by Paul Hunter, the man behind the Madonna and Britney Spears video for Me Against the Music.

It will run until New Year's Eve on the ITV network, as well as Channel 4, Five and the satellite channels.
