Celebrity BB: Faria evicted

VOTED OUT: Faria Alam
VOTED OUT: Faria Alam
EX-FA secretary Faria Alam has become the second person to be evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The model, famous for her fling with England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson, was nominated by other housemates alongside US basketball star Dennis Rodman and Dead or Alive singer Pete Burns.

She showed little emotion as her eviction was announced live by host Davina McCall. She then hugged and kissed fellow housemates.

As she left the door to face the crowd she was booed by onlookers. On Tuesday she was embroiled in a race row involving fellow contestants.

Faria follows model Jodie Marsh, who was evicted last Friday, in being voted of the house by the public. Nine contestants now remain.

Past

In an interview with Davina afterwards, the 39-year-old, who received 45.2 per cent of the votes cast, admitted that she found it “hard” telling other housemates about her past.

She said: “It was very hard because you are talking about people who are actually talented. I wasn’t in there for a talent.”

As members of the audience sniggered at this answer, she jokingly told them: “Shut up you lot. I know what you’re thinking.”

She added: “It was very difficult at the time and putting myself in that situation when I knew that everybody else had something to add to this.”

The model also told Davina that she did not think of herself as a celebrity, saying that she thought she was “infamous” rather than famous before appearing on the show.

“I have been infamous but now I’m famous because I’ve been on this,” she said.
