Celebrity BB: Double eviction shock on cards

But what they don't know is that the two people who receive the most votes from the public will leave in a surprise double eviction.

And in a further twist from Big Brother this week, the housemates will double-cross each other as they take part in a Big Brother Bank task.

Seven of the eight remaining housemates went to the diary room on Saturday to nominate the two people they most want to be evicted on Wednesday.

George was denied his right to do so by the rest of the group after he broke the rules by discussing nominations with actress Rula Lenska on Thursday.

George received four votes while Dennis and Chantelle got three votes each.

The Bethnal Green and Bow MP was nominated by Chantelle, Maggot, Preston and Traci; Dennis was nominated by Chantelle, entertainer Michael Barrymore and Preston, while Dennis, Pete and Traci all voted for Chantelle.

When the results of the nominations were announced, housemates maintained their usual silence.

A grinning Chantelle, who is up for the first time, twiddled her hair, Dennis continued puffing on his cigar while George didn't move a muscle.

Former Baywatch babe Traci Bingham's jaw dropped to the floor as Dead or Alive singer Pete Burns looked confused and shocked.

Chantelle was first to break the silence with "Oh my God."

She giggled and said: "This is exciting, means my foundation make-up problems isn't a problem, got less time for it to last. This makes me feel little bit happier about the foundation situation."

Earlier on Pete announced there was a make-up "crisis" in the house.

"Ooh mum, I'm coming," Chantelle carried on excitedly.

Ordinary Boys frontman Preston looked upset.

Later, after answering a telephone installed in the dining area, Chantelle became a director of the Big Brother Bank.

Preston, who she chose to accompany her to the diary room, assumed the same role, while the six remaining housemates became bankers.

The directors have their own private members' club which is accessed via the diary room and which they must not tell the others about.

The pair have been informed they must pass two or more of the three Big Brother Bank tasks in order to receive a luxury food budget for the house.

Trick

But Big Brother is playing a trick on them and the only way they will win is by failing at least two of the three tasks.

Chantelle and Preston's first challenge is to invest a total of £10,000 in at least five different companies. They will pass if the portfolio of shares makes a profit after one day's trading.

Later on they will return to the wood-panelled room complete with library, roaring fire, and their own portraits, for a luxury meal.

While they are there the doorbell will ring and the other housemates will receive a letter. They will be told that the only way to pass the shopping task is to fail at least two of the three tasks.

The living room plasma screen will also be switched on to reveal Chantelle and Preston in their lodge.

The directors will then return to the main part of the house oblivious to any of this.

Big Brother will later deposit a large number of pennies on the boardroom table which bankers must count into bags of 100.

The directors must weigh them to ensure each bag is correct. Housemates have an hour to correctly count and bag 70 per cent of the money.

If the bankers reveal the real task to the directors, or that they know about the private members' club, or any of the secrets Big Brother has told them, the group will fail.
