Celebrity BB: Galloway set for boot

HOT FAVOURITE TO GO: George
HOT FAVOURITE TO GO: George
GEORGE Galloway is a dead cert for eviction from Celebrity Big Brother tonight and has been warned to expect ridicule when he returns to Parliament.

MPs have been lining up to poke fun at Galloway over his appearance on the reality show.

The former Labour politician has dressed up in a skin-tight red catsuit and pretended to be a cat licking milk from Rula Lenska's lap.

Labour MP Steve Pound told Channel 4's Richard and Judy yesterday: "He's gone from imitating a cat to wearing a catsuit. Next he'll be advertising cat food. I actually feel sorry for him because that's the only future he's got.

"When he returns to the House of Commons there is going to be such a chorus of 'Meow'. He'll have a saucer of milk waiting for him and a litter tray."

He described Galloway's appearance on the show as "a slow-motion car crash".

Uday

The Sun newspaper ran video stills today appearing to show Galloway meeting Saddam Hussein's son Uday.

Pictures have previously been published of Galloway meeting Saddam in 1994, but The Sun said the new video was made in 1999 during a visit by Galloway to Iraq.

While the Respect MP is certain to emerge from the house to controversy, he has also been cold-shouldered by his fellow housemates after a series of vicious outbursts.

When Galloway was reminded he had been banned from nominating for discussing the other housemates, he bawled at Preston: "Pipe down, Mr Indignation. We'll see what the viewers thought of your double standards, your indignation about me and the aplomb with which you become a lying plutocrat in your gentleman's club."

The MP for Bethnal Green and Bow then turned on Michael Barrymore.

"You never let anyone speak. Now you're going to let me speak," he told the former TV star.

Mania

"I was close to you, Dennis was close to you, and you stabbed both of us over your mania for hoarding cigarettes. You're a real cigarette addict and you ought to address the fact that you've no loyalty to anybody."

Galloway went on to criticise Barrymore for failing to support him when he was barred from nominating.

"You sat schtum and said nothing. You care about no-one except yourself. You're the most selfish, self-obsessed person I've ever met," he stormed.

Their argument went on for 20 minutes, with Galloway claiming: "I cared a lot about you. You stabbed me in the back."

After Galloway had retreated to read the manifesto, the others expressed their astonishment at his behaviour.

Chucked out

Maggot said: "George is just attacking anybody right now because he's going to get chucked out in a day or two."

Preston branded him a "school bully" and said: "It must be stressful for him now because he knows he's blown it. He will leave here a villain because he cheated and bullied."

The odds on a Chantelle eviction have been slashed by bookmakers ahead of tonight's eviction.

Ladbrokes said Galloway was expected to be the first housemate to get the boot in the double eviction.

Spokesman David Williams of Ladbrokes said: "George is nailed on to go first - and I'll eat my hat if he doesn't - but Chantelle may not be far behind him."

Ladbrokes gave odds of George Galloway 1/20, Chantelle 10/1 and Dennis 10/1.
