Celebrity BB: Rodman and Galloway evicted

EVICTED: Dennis Rodman
EVICTED: Dennis Rodman
BASKETBALL star Dennis Rodman and Respect MP George Galloway have both been evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Galloway was the first out, attracting 64.7 per cent of the public vote after being nominated alongside fake celebrity Chantelle Houghton and Rodman.

Rodman then followed shortly after in a surprise eviction.

Galloway, 51, who represents Bethnal Green and Bow constituency, was odds-on favourite to be next celebrity to be kicked out of the reality show.

He showed little emotion as his eviction was announced live by presenter Davina McCall. He hugged, kissed and shook hands with the other housemates before making for the door.

As he emerged from the house, a smiling Galloway was met with boos and cheers from the crowd who gathered for tonight’s double eviction.

Famous

Meanwhile, in his post-eviction interview, Dennis, who received 23.5pc of the viewers’ votes, spoke of his bafflement at UK ideas about celebrity.

He said: “You guys do something different over here. About a week ago someone said, ’you don’t have to be famous to walk on the red carpet - once you walk on the red carpet you’re famous’.”

Asked if he was upset to have being evicted, he said: “Honestly? No, not really.

“It’s all about TV. It’s a game, it’s a show. Just because I’m evicted from the house I’m still a star, I’m still famous.”

Dennis said he had not found any of the women in the house attractive, although he joked to presenter Davina McCall about her wedding ring: “That don’t mean nothing to me.”
