Traci first to go on BB's final night

The longest-ever Celebrity Big Brother was hurtling towards its climax tonight as former Baywatch actress Traci Bingham was voted off the show.

After 23 gruelling days of tears, tantrums and the odd cat impression, the last of the housemates were being picked off in a series of quickfire expulsions.

Traci smiled and laughed as host Davina McCall informed her she was the first of the "dirty half-dozen" survivors to fall foul of the public vote.

Then she tottered through the house on high heels to be cheered by the crowds as she emerged.

A further three from 80s popstar Pete Burns, Ordinary Boys singer Preston, troubled entertainer Michael Barrymore, Goldie Lookin' Chain frontman Maggot, and the previously unknown Chantelle will be left disappointed before 9.30pm.

The winner will be revealed in a second live instalment of the show on Channel 4 from 10pm.
