Celebrity BB: Preston proposes

BIG Brother winner Chantelle Houghton won't be getting together with Preston after it emerged he had proposed to his long-term girlfriend.

The Ordinary Boys singer is understood to have popped the question to Camille Aznar, 25, before whisking her away to a lingerie party in London.

The news ends days of frenzied speculation over the close relationship forged between Preston and Chantelle on the reality TV show.

Chantelle- who entered the Big Brother house as the only non-celebrity but ended up winning the public vote - said recently she had no designs on Preston and would love to be a bridesmaid at his wedding.

And Preston said after the show ended: "I love Camille and I'm going to marry her. I haven't actually proposed, I've only just decided right now."

French-born Ms Aznar was in the crowd when her fiancé was evicted after finishing in fourth place. But earlier this week there were reports that she had dumped Preston after he was spotted chatting and singing with Chantelle at a post-Big Brother party.

The will-they-won't-they relationship between the two youngest members of the Big Brother house helped push viewing figures for the Channel Four programme as high as 7.5million.

The average audience was 4.5million, up 11 per cent on last year's contest which was won by former Happy Monday's singer Bez.

Publicity from the programme has helped reignite the career of Preston's band The Ordinary Boys. The group will be at the Manchester Academy on March 20 as part of a sell-out tour.
