Goalie Seaman can't save ice dance place

FORMER England goalkeeper David Seaman has slipped out of TV's Dancing On Ice, failing to make it into this weekend's final.

The ex-sports star and his partner Pam O'Connor were voted off the popular ITV series by the judges last night after a skate-off with entertainer Bonnie Langford.

The pair missed last week's show after Pam fell face first on to the ice just an hour before going on air.

Last night, dancing to Aerosmith's I Don't Want To Miss A Thing, they bravely performed the "headbanger spin" which caused her injury.

Speaking after the judges' decision, David said: "It's been different. I've had a great time, I couldn't have asked for more.

Coaching

"We've had Jane (Torvill) and Chris (Dean) coaching us and I've had a great partner in Pam.

"We tried the spin once and didn't quite do it in the first show, but we nailed it in - I was going to say play off then - in the skate-off."

This Saturday Bonnie Langford, actor Stefan Booth and actress Gaynor Faye will compete for the title of Dancing On Ice champion in a live final.

The celebrities and their ice-dance partners will perform routines to Bolero - the piece of music which famously saw Torvill and Dean skate their way to Olympic Gold in 1984.
