Blair to appear on Parkinson


TONY Blair is to appear on chat show Parkinson, it has been announced.

The Prime Minister will be the first guest on the new series, which begins on ITV1 this Saturday.

He will be quizzed by host Michael Parkinson alongside actor Kevin Spacey, opera singer Andrea Bocelli and pop star Christina Aguilera are also appearing on the show.

It is the first time a serving Prime Minister has had the Parky treatment.

This Morning

"We've got the Prime Minister on as a guest this week which I'm delighted about as I've never interviewed him before," Parkinson told ITV1's This Morning.

"It'll be good. You put in your requests and hope that one day he'll say yes. He's a fascinating man."

Parkinson, 70, recently signed a new deal with ITV which will keep him with the channel until autumn 2007.
