Ant and Dec plan to win Princes' trust

ROYAL VISIT: Ant and Dec
ROYAL VISIT: Ant and Dec
TV presenters Ant and Dec have revealed plans for their royal interview with the Prince of Wales and sons William and Harry.

The I'm A Celebrity duo have been granted an exclusive chat to mark the 30th anniversary of The Prince's Trust.

And it seems the young royal princes may be Ant and Dec fans.

Ant said: "I think someone said they watched I'm A Celebrity so they might know who we are - unlike the Queen. We met her and she didn't know who on earth we were. So granny doesn't know, but they might."

As for the questions they will be asking William, 23, and Harry, 21, Dec said: "We're interested in the popular culture thing - what they watch on television, what films and music they like, the human side of things.

"They seem like two very nice guys, ordinary lads who are members of that family.

Generation

"It's particularly interesting for our generation because they are going to be the royals we grow up with, particularly William."

The presenters - full names Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly - will interview all three Princes together at Highgrove.

Dec joked they might send Charles out of the room so they could get some real gossip about what William and Harry get up to.

"Maybe we'll have to send him into the garden. 'Just pop out and get some fennel or some organic Highgrove bacon, would you?"'

And the pair laughed there might even be a knighthood in it for them.

"That would be all right. Just skip the MBEs and all that and go straight for the knighthoods," Dec joked.

The interview will be the highlight of the 30th birthday celebrations, which also include a concert at the Tower of London.

The event takes place in May and tickets will be available to the public.

ITV1

It is one of the highlights of ITV1's spring/summer season.

Others include Soccer Aid, a charity celebrity football match with Robbie Williams as England captain and chef Gordon Ramsay skippering a Rest of the World side.

Terry Venables and Manchester United's Alex Ferguson will be the respective managers, with an all-star line-up of celebrities and ex-professionals.

The big match will take place at Old Trafford with all proceeds going to Unicef.

Other shows coming up this season include an X Factor celebrity special and the return of Celebrity Love Island.
