PAUL Scholes could be set to make his return from medial ligament damage against Blackburn tonight. The midfielder, who has been sidelined since picking up the injury against Aalborg in the Champions League in September, is in line for a place on the bench for the Carling Cup quarter final.

Scholes has already returned to first team training, but Sir Alex Ferguson will be wary about rushing his return with the 34-year-old suffering a catalogue of injuries in recent years.
