The 1892 Ellenroad Mill has gone but its Engine House remains and holds inside the Alexandra and Victoria engines - the largest steam mill engines in the world.  When the site is open the display of power from these steamed up leviathians is awesome.  There's a pleasant picnic area too in the shadow of the 60m (200ft) chimney.

Toilets, food and drink, shop, group and school visits, disabled access, guided tours, events.
