The Moravian Church was founded in 1457 in the Czech Republic by those disenchanted with the Catholic Church.  This settlement dates back to 1785 wihen the local Moravians established their community sequested a few miles from the city.  Well preserved and now surrounded by the suburbs, the Fairfield settlement, with its cobbled streets, attractive houses, church and segregated graveyard retains the tranquil atmosphere of the late C18.  In the graveyard there are no standing headstones just simple plaques laid in rows - married couples share the same grave, single men to one side, single women to the other.

Toilets, guided tours, group and school visits.
