This multi-million pound home to art houses a permanent collection of work including paintings by Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Sickert and Hockney. There are temporary exhibitions too. Be sure to check out the extraordinary metres long panorama taken in 1879 by Mr Knott. Gallery Oldham also has a rotating bar (Bar 360 - good for chilled club nights too). Another piece of innovation is the response external light sculpture called Deep Blue. Call 07736 728903 from your mobile phone from the car park or further south and the sculpture will flash a message in morse code back, accompanied by a mystery text message.
