This museum is housed in the original building where Britain's first successful working class co-operative began in 1844.  Part reconstructed with money from the Japanese branch of the movement, this museum provides an insight into the principals and ideals of co-operative philosophy.  The surrounding buildings form part of an attractive conservation area.
